Years ago, my mother gifted me a handful of twigs. They were thin, gray, and dry.
These weren’t just ordinary twigs. At the end of each length, stood small spindly roots waiting for a chance to grow. All they needed was a little care, some soil and water. So, that’s exactly what I gave them.
Every year since, they have blessed me with their small yellow flowers. They remind me that seemingly worthless gifts can have lasting impacts. Whether it is sharing a plant or speaking kind words to a stranger, our actions are powerful. Those twigs held a promise of life and a beautiful tomorrow. We hold that promise too.
I encourage you to share something. May your small act be a blessing to someone else.
